I was watching ‘The Wizard of Oz’ last weekend with my 8 year old daughter. During the “If I Only had a Brain” song, Dorothy sings the words:
“With the thoughts that you’ll be thinkin’
You could be another Lincoln”
and it occurred to me that, with The Wizard of Oz being made in 1939 and Lincoln dying in 1865, the date of this scene is equidistant from last weekend’s viewing and the final days of Abraham Lincoln.
That’s all, really.
