Rafael Behr was talking in the Observer yesterday about how we should enjoy the wonderful free benefits of the internet while we can. I thought he was perhaps over-egging things a bit when it comes to blogs but making an important point with regards to other areas of the web.
Then today comes the news that Skype has been bought by Ebay.
Now the great thing about Skype, the only great thing about Skype, is the fact that you can talk to people all over the world, with decent quality audio, for nothing if they have a PC with Skype set up. It means we can spend a lot more time talking to friends and relatives all over the place. Its socially very useful software.
How long will the free calls last now that Ebay have bought Skype?
