In fact the picture in question was not used by the Cruz campaign but by a PAC supporting him.
Then Trump tweeted this:

I can imagine at least at some women (not all of them raging liberals or feminists) taking offense at this.

But Cruz didn’t back down from his pledge to support Trump if he’s the Republican nominee.
By comparison, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are a love match.
