Neturei Karta: Insulted, Beaten, Expelled

Here’s a report on the Global March to Jerusalem, from Jordan’s Ejjbed news site.

From it, we learn that the Neturei Karta’s eccentric brand of  theological anti-Zionism wasn’t quite as well understood by their co-demonstrators as it might have been:

Before beginning the festivities, four rabbis from the American movement, ‘Neturei Karta’ which rejects the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the very foundations of the Israeli State, were beaten and insulted by a group of young people who were taking part in the march, before some of the organisers intervened to expel the rabbis.

The Elder of Ziyon has a little more.

These events will have made the Neturei Karta very happy. After all, these are people who believe that Jews ought to be insulted, beaten and expelled, right up until the point that their Messiah turns up, demolishes the Al Aqsa mosque, rebuilds the Temple, and then smites all their enemies.

Religious nuts, eh?
