State Department assesses worldwide human rights

The US Department of State has issued its assessment of human rights by country for 2006.

At a glance it appears to be a non-politicized report, pointing out abuses by “friendly” nations as well as hostile ones. I appreciate that each country’s report includes a detailed assessment of workers’ rights.

If anyone is familiar with the human rights situation in a specific country, and thinks the State Department got something wrong, I’d be interested to know about it.
