Old White Man Calls Black Man Potential BNP Recruit

Yes, you guessed it. It is our old friend, Ken Livingstone: a man who is so severely afflicted with foot-in-mouth disease that, were he a cow, he’d be put down.

His latest piece of silliness – directed at CRE head, Trevor Phillips – is detailed by the BBC:

Mr Livingstone claimed Mr Phillips had “denounced” him as a racist during the first London mayoral election in 2000, when he had “a brief sort of black power fling”.

“Ever since then he’s gone so far over to the other side that I expect soon he’ll be joining the BNP,” he added.

How very unimaginative. On past form, I’d have expected Livingstone to describe Trevor Phillips as an “Uncle Tom”, a Slave Trader, or – even better – as having been a Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan in his past life.

What seems to have provoked Ken this time is this speech.

Gosh, we’re lucky to have Ken as our Mayor.
