From Saturday’s Washington Post:
Hamas leaders in the funeral procession vowed to avenge Abu Shanab’s assassination. “We love martyrdom and we seek martyrdom,” Abdel Aziz Rantisi, a senior Hamas leader who survived an Israeli rocket attack on his car in June, told the crowd in a rare public appearance.
Reminds me of a comment by Ismail Haniya, another Hamas official, after the mass murder at a Passover seder in Israel last year. Jews, he said, “love life more than any other people, and they prefer not to die.”
Well, we all have our little eccentricities…
Does anyone think people like this would be satisfied if Israel simply withdrew to the pre-1967 borders?
