I suppose this guy is something of a crank (in the best sense of the word), and he’s obviously got a political agenda, but hey, good for him.
Anyway I’m pleased to know our tax dollars are being wisely spent– and the federal deficit thereby increasing– to shlep the Bush economic team around the upper Midwest, meeting with selected groups of people behind closed doors to find out what they really think about the administration’s record on the economy. Meanwhile, the US unemployment rate declined by two-tenths of a percent in July, mainly because nearly half a million discouraged workers stopped looking for a job. Payrolls were cut for the sixth month in a row.
