This could be a big one. A “senior administration official” told The Washington Post that “two top White House officials” revealed to journalists the identity of an undercover CIA operative in an effort to discredit her husband, the former ambassador to Niger, who publicly challenged the Bush administration’s claim that Iraq tried to obtain uranium from Africa.
Blowing the cover of a CIA agent? That’s a big-time felony. The Justice Department is investigating.
Joshua Marshall’s weblog is all over the story. Instapundit is, predictably, more skeptical.
