Horrible news from Boston

As you’re probably aware, two bombs exploded near the finish line of Monday’s Boston Marathon, killing two three and wounding dozens of others, some of whom lost limbs.

At least two other explosive devices were found near the marathon finish line.

It’s important to remember in events like this that early reports are likely as not to be wrong.

Nobody has been arrested so far, and it would be worse than pointless to speculate about who might be responsible– although that won’t stop some people.

Of course conspiracy-monger Alex Jones has already diagnosed it as a “false flag” operation.

Update: Media Matters for America reports on some of the predictable and evidence-free reactions from the Right here and here.

There have also been stupid reactions from the Left; see here, here and here.

Further update: A mitzvah: Someone bought the domain name bostonmarathonconspiracy.com and posted the following message there:

THANK YOU.
