Readers may be interested in an event being organised by the British Israel Coalition. This is a demonstration at Richmond Terrace (opposite Downing Street) on Sunday, 1st July to draw attention to the plight of Mawlud Afand, a Kurdish journalist and editor of the ‘Israel Kurd’ magazine who has been missing for the last two weeks. It is feared he has been kidnapped by the Iranian authorities, who of course disapprove of his wish to forge ties between Kurds and Jews. To find out more, visit the BICPAC site here.
