Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust: More Money For CagePrisoners

CagePrisoners, as our archives show, is essentially a pro-Al Qaeda organisation. It was an outspoken supporters of the Al Qaeda preacher, Anwar Al Awlaki, and campaigns exclusively for those arrested and convicted in relation to terrorist offences.

It is run by Moazzam Begg, a man who was arrested following a stint in Afghanistan, where he had been helping an Al Qaeda activist, Abu Rideh build schools for the children of Al Qaeda fighters. Its Executive Director, Asim Qureshi, was filmed on a Hizb ut Tahrir demonstration, exhorting British Muslims to support “jihad” against British troops.

You will remember that Amnesty hounded out the veteran South Asian feminist, Gita Sahgal, when she raised concerns about Amnesty’s partnership with CagePrisoners.

CagePrisoners is kept afloat by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust – £135,000.

You’ll be unsurprised to hear that they’ve just given them another whopping great chunk of money – which they’ll use to spread their message of support for jihadism, bigotry and hatred.

Well done to the Quakers, again!
