Earlier this month the President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa was reported to have canceled a visit to Britain amidst fears that attempts would be made to have him detained under universal jurisdiction legislation.
He now has arrived in Britain, where he will meet with David Cameron and then address the Oxford Union Society.
Channel4 News reported that his arrival at Heathrow was to be protested by “supporters of the Tamil Tigers”.
He was met by those protesting the deaths of tens of thousands of Tamil civilians. They never are to be mistaken for the likes of Jeremy Corbyn.
