Since the announcement of the Liberal-Conservative coalition, I’ve had half an ear open for ridiculous comparisons by talking heads. There is legitimate criticism of the coalition (see Nick Cohen’s Observer piece on the coalition of the privileged), but there are those on the left and right who choose to see what they want to see.
On Any questions this week Hattersley complained about the 55% dissolution rule being put forward by the coalition. He compared it to something Mugabe might do.
