Thirty Six people have died in three co-ordinated suicide car bomb attacks in Baghdad.
The BBC notes that the attacks coincide with the execution of ‘Chemical Ali’ though it says it isn’t clear if the attacks are directly related.
Certainly the blasts are the work of anti-democratic forces who have stepped up attacks to destabilise the country further ahead of the March general elections.
