Is this what passes for “conservative humor” these day?
Monday was the first day of Senate hearings on President Obama’s nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. She is the daughter of Puerto Rican-born parents and grew up in a South Bronx housing project.
Jason Mattera, spokesman for the rightwing Young America’s Foundation and “the surprisingly fresh face of conservatism,” posted on Facebook the following comment:
“Shank” is slang for stab. The reference is to Atonin Scalia, a conservative Supreme Court justice.
What a card.
