I just finished watching a 90-minute documentary about Hugo Chavez on PBS’s “Frontline” series. It deals with many of the events and issues we’ve posted about here. The documentary allows Chavez to speak for himself, in extensive segments from his weekly TV broadcast. While largely critical of Chavez, for many of the reasons we have been, the program recognizes that Chavez has pushed questions of social and economic inequality to the forefront– while notably failing to deal successfully with them.
If you missed it, you can watch it (in chapters) here.
