John McCain has made his pick and CNN is citing sources that it will be the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin who will be on the ticket. Smart move.
There were a lot of names being kicked around for John McCain’s running mate, namely Tom Ridge and Mitt Romney, but picking Palin is possibly the smartest move he could make.
She could bring the female vote in and help McCain pick up those disillusioned Hillary Clinton voters who will not vote for Barrack Obama. Palin like Obama has youth on her side, she is 44 and so balances the ticket.
