An encouraging sign for supporters of internal regime change in Iran:
Despite the efforts of President Ahmadinejad’s underlings to round up the masses for his appearance in the central Iranian city of Yazd (population: about half a million), this was the best they could do:
Notice that a small group of apparently trusted people sits close to the president, while security personnel watch the rest of the crowd through a barricade.
On the other hand, it could herald desperate and dangerous efforts to hold on to power.
