No one could have predicted that as soon as the IDF withdrew Hamas would advance again and start executing its political rivals – branding them “collaborators” – as it takes control of Gaza again. After all the “Peace Plan” to which they signed up included the proviso that they stap back as the government of Gaza. Well, actually, this is obviously nonsense! Absolutely everyone, whether they admitted it or not, knew that this would happen.
It was obvious. But of course, no one really wanted to make a big deal out of knowing this is precisely what would happen. When it comes to Gaza, there is a giant Hamas-shaped blind spot, or perhaps even a black hole into which all good sense is sucked. None of the usual (supposedly) human-rights-obsessed voices who react with outrage at every collateral civilian death in Gaza (when Israel is responsible) have had a thing to say about these Palestinian civilians summarily executed on the streets of Gaza. Imagine the outpouring of righteous anger if an IDF soldier had executed a single Hamas fighter in this style, never mind a civilian non-combatant.
Oh well. If there is one thing we are used to in observing the war started by Hamas on October 7th 2023, it is the hypocrisy of the media, liberal politicians and the “human rights” activist community, so I won’t dwell on it. Instead I want to briefly predict, based on a recent Sky News interview with a senior Hamas official what Hamas plans to do next. I think anyone who is skilled at “reading between the lines” will agree with me. This will not, for obvious reasons, include the media, liberal politicians and activists referenced above.
Hamas intends to do the following:
- Kill their political opponents (already a work in progress)
- Take control of the new “Palestinian State” (gifted by Keir Starmer, et al)
- Take over the Palestinian Authority security forces and flood it with Gaza War-hardened Hamas fighters
- Rebuild resources
- Retry October 7th-style invasion in a few years time.
They have no intention of disarming and stepping back from power in Gaza and will seem to use the newly recognised ‘Palestinian State’ as a larger platform to launch their “from the river to the sea” ambitions, which clearly they have not abandoned in any way.
The Trump Peace Plan may attempt to impose sane administration on them via Tony Blair, Arab-state involvement and possibly even the UN, but whatever they try to do will be undermined and attacked. In fact, there is likely to be an Iraq-style insurgency that kills officials and sabotages facilities that are part of this initiative. Stupid western liberal commentators will say something like “This is no different to the Stern Gang attacking the British Mandate administration in the 1940s.” Imbeciles will cheer.
Of course the whole thing may dissolve into chaos before they achieve any of this, but if things go according to the ‘deal’ brokered by President Trump, this is what they will do, and they have basically said as much in the video above – if you read between the lines and around the evasions of this interview.
In short, Hamas have told us what they intend to do, but – as usual – everyone is fucking deaf!
