Oi Corbyn ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The Jewish Leadership Council together with the Board of Deputies of British Jews have had enough.

In the wake of the newest Corbyn antisemitism scandal the Jewish community has gotten active.

See the below event on Facebook and feel free to go on down to Parliament Sq to express your own outrage.

The most recent issue with antisemitism to concern Corbyn is technically a rediscovered old one. In 2012 he defended an antisemitic mural when it was about to be removed from a wall in Tower Hamlets.

The mural and the great leader’s comment on its removal (note a comment from our old friend Yvonne Ridley too) are below;

The reason this is an issue now is down to the responses offered by Corbyn’s office and the man himself in response to questions asked by MP Luciana Berger.

Jeremy ‘butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth’ Corbyn expressed regret for his comment but didn’t apologise. The official statement was published in the Guardian;

“In 2012, Jeremy was responding to concerns about the removal of public art on the grounds of freedom of speech, however, the mural was offensive, used antisemitic imagery, which has no place in our society, and it is right that it was removed.”

And the Great Leader himself said;

“I sincerely regret that I did not look more closely at the image I was commenting on, the contents of which are deeply disturbing and antisemitic. The defence of free speech cannot be used as a justification for the promotion of antisemitism in any form. That is a view I’ve always held.”

Stephen Pollard was scathing in the Jewish Chronicle;

The more one thinks about this, the more shocking it is. The statement acknowledges what it could hardly deny, that the mural was antisemitic. But it also says that Mr Corbyn was defending it on “grounds of freedom of speech”. In other words, we are expected to accept that it was perfectly fine for the leader of the Labour Party to support the existence of a large public antisemitic mural.

This man may well become Prime Minister.

Go to Parliament Sq tomorrow, don’t let the Jews stand alone!

Update:

Even in his latest, strongly worded statement, he can’t bring himself to say sorry for the offence caused by his own words;
