Israel,  Russia,  Syria

Israel bombs Russia’s allies in Syria. But Bibi and Putin get along.

What I find most remarkable about the apparently friendly and cooperative relationship between Bibi Netanyahu and Vladimir Putin is that Israel is, so far, the only foreign power since the start of the Syrian conflict to conduct regular airstrikes against Putin’s allies in Syria: the Assad regime, Iran and Hezbollah– and that those allies, all mortal enemies of Israel, don’t raise a fuss about that relationship.

(Or is the relatively diminutive size of Putin’s head on the poster above a subtle signal of dissatisfaction?)
