Two days after Israel accepted an Egyptian-proposed ceasefire, and Hamas rejected it, IDF forces have begun a ground operation in Gaza with the stated aim of destroying the tunnels that Hamas has dug from Gaza to Israel.
Early on Thursday the IDF thwarted an attack by terrorists attempting to infiltrate Israel via a tunnel. Clearly they were on a mission to kill as many Israelis as they could.
You know the level of hysteria reached by Israel’s enemies since Operation Protective Edge began? Expect that to double.
Also Thursday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency reported finding 20 rockets in one of their schools in Gaza.
“UNRWA strongly condemns the group or groups responsible for placing the weapons in one of its installations. This is a flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law,” [a] statement read.
The discovery would seem to confirm Israel’s oft-repeated claim that Hamas and other Gazan terror groups use civilian infrastructure to hide weapons.

Finally, here’s an urgent request for journalists: every time someone says that Israel’s response is “disproportionate” (as Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg did), please ask that person to explain in detail what he or she would consider a proportionate response.
