Worried about North Korea? Let George Galloway calm your fears

Galloway’s rants are getting increasingly bizarre. Here is his summary of the situation in Korea, shared with Press TV’s viewers:

“North Korea has no intention to harm any of us. North Korea’s problem is with South Korea.

So that’s ok then.

South Korea exists because America invaded Korea, killed millions of people, divided the country and continues to garrison South Korea with military bases, nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapon.”

Still more egregious are his words of praise for North Korea.

They do have a cohesive, pristine actually, innocent culture. A culture that has not been penetrated by globalization and by Western mores and is very interesting to see.”

Then he backtracks to comparative sanity:

“But I wouldn’t like to live there. And I’m not advocating their system.

But what is his key concern about the regime?  Its treatment of dissidents, its use of concentration camps, its draconian restrictions on freedoms of all kinds?

Not least because they certainly don’t believe in God in North Korea,” he continued.

Gene adds: Galloway of course is simply repeating the Communist line at the time of the Korean war, as depicted in this 1950 Herblock cartoon:
