Interpal and Hamas: Extremism at Home

Here is a humorous line from Interpal’s latest annual report to the Charity Commission:

Due to the 2003 US designation of Interpal, the trustees are alert to all subsequent risks and allegations, and are especially diligent in their practices. The trustees are also very sensitive with whom the charity chooses to work and associate with.

Ho ho! The US did indeed designate Interpal as a Hamas funder back in 2003, and how right it was.

This blog has documented Interpal’s countless solidarity rallies with Hamas in Gaza.

You can see the charity’s hateful ideology on display at home as well. Consider the people Interpal has chosen to “associate with” at a conference in East London on Sunday (click to enlarge).

Many of the speakers are explicit supporters of Hamas.

Zahir Mahmood
He shouts with joy about Viva Palestina, George Galloway’s Hamas support operation.

By Allah, history will remember George [Galloway] as a hero. And the other thing is that we cannot allow the perverted narrative to remain the norm. Hamas are not terrorists. They’re freedom fighters, they’re defending their country.

Alhamdulillah [praise to God], Ismail Haniyeh [Hamas leader in Gaza], the prime minister of Palestine, has given all those who went on the convoy Palestinian passports. We are Palestinian nationals!

Yvonne Ridley
Yay, Hamas violence!

If I could use my Palestinian citizenship, it would be to vote Ismail Haniyeh and Hamas back in again in Gaza. Victory to intifada 3! Victory to Hamas!

In fact, Ridley is proud of breaking the law for Hamas:

I brought cash and I am happy to say I have given that cash to George Galloway and we have both given that money to the Palestinian prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, which has broken UN sanctions. If they want to charge us, if they want to arrest us, bring it on.

Ismail Patel
As plain as day at an Israel hatred demonstration in London:

Hamas is no terrorist organisation. The reason they hate Hamas is because they refuse to be subjugated, occupied by the Israeli state, and we salute Hamas for standing up to Israel.

Daud Abdullah
This is what he backs – weapons supply to Hamas, as demanded by the Istanbul Declaration.

The obligation of the Islamic Nation to open the crossings — all crossings — in and out of Palestine permanently, in order to allow access to all the needs of the Palestinians — money, clothing, food, medicine, weapons and other essentials, so that they are able to live and perform the jihad in the way of Allah Almighty. The closure of the crossings or the prevention of the entry of weapons through them should be regarded as high treason in the Islamic Nation, and clear support for the Zionist enemy.

Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour MP for Hamas and Hezbollah

The idea that an organisation that is dedicated towards the good of the Palestinian people, and bringing about long term peace and social justice and political justice in the whole region, should be labelled as a terrorist organisation by the British government, is really a big, big historical mistake.

Uthman Lateef
Never mind Gaza, hate preacher Lateef sees enemies of Islam at home. Namely, the people trying to protect us from terrorist attacks. Muslims must not help them.

It’s very likely, maybe some of us have already been approached by the secret services for this kind of work.

One, we need to know the Islamic position about doing that, right? The major sin involved, right, that could also become disbelief and apostasy, right? Informing the authorities about the Muslims, when the Muslims are involved in khair [good] and goodness and everything else, that the kuffar [derogatory term for non-Muslims] will still use for their own ends against the Muslims.

And so we do not weaken the ummah [community of believers] by strengthening the kuffar. And that is exactly what spying is. You are a tool for the strengthening of their nation and the weakening of your own one.

This is the real Interpal behind all the fluffy lies – a terrorist support group that wants to spread hatred at home as well as abroad.

Gene adds: Speaking of Viva Palestina, their accounts are overdue at the Charity Commission for FYE 2010 by 631 days and for FYE 2011 by 265 days.

Does anyone want to call the commissioners and wake them from their extended naps?
