23 November 2012 8:33PMI’m especially tired that so many otherwise smart, sophisticated people apparently struggle to talk about Israel-Palestine without reaching, even unwittingly, for the dog-eared lexicon of anti-Jewish cliche, casting Israeli leaders as supremacists driven by a (misunderstood) notion of Jews as “chosen people” or, hoarier still, as international puppet-masters.
So why Jonathon are you working for a newspaper that prints exactly that type of thing? We’ve had Deborah “chosen people” Orr and Steve “puppet master” Bell gracing these columns along with representatives of Hamas, I just don’t know how you can stand to be associated with such a putrid outfit .
