Following up on my Election Day post:
–Besides winning in the Electoral College, Obama has also won the popular vote by 50 percent to 48 percent. However if he had won the first while losing the second, I can only assume (based on the 2000 election) that Republican partisans would have graciously accepted the result.
–The good news is that loopy Republican Congressman Allen West has apparently been defeated for reelection in Florida.
–The bad news is that loopy Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann barely won reelection in Minnesota.
