Introduced by Elie Wiesel, President Obama spoke this morning at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. (You can watch the introduction and the speech here.)
In a rebuke to the George Galloways and Stop the War Coalitions of the world, Obama said: “National sovereignty is never a license to slaughter your people.”
I was pleased to hear Obama announce new sanctions against companies that enable Syria and Iran to use technology such as cell phone monitoring to suppress their opposition– an issue that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
But it’s not enough.
