I didn’t write the first comment underneath this story – but I am of the same mind as ‘In Your Face SWP’, who sums up the recent election results: ‘Common Sense 1 – Nut jobs 0!!!’
News of Sally Hunt’s own landslide victory was announced a few days ago. As I wrote here, it is hard to summon up enthusiasm for Hunt, given her apparent complete failure to listen to or act on anxieties about antisemitism in the union. However, it’s heartening that UCU members have overwhelmingly voted for moderate candidates, including all three apparently sensible prospective trustees whose positions I touched on in my previous post.
