The first part of Ayn Rand “objectivist” opus, in convenient movie form, coming April 15 to a theater near you.
I suppose April 15 was chosen because it is the traditional deadline for filing federal income tax returns. But perhaps in a sinister effort to spoil the synergy, the government moved the 2011 deadline to April 18.
I haven’t read “Atlas Shrugged,” and can’t make heads or tails of the trailer, but all the talk about railroads and steel mills seems rather 1950s for a film apparently set in the present.
Nevertheless it wowed ’em at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.
