Viva Palestina, George Galloway’s Hamas support operation, has allies in Malaysia. And what allies they are.
This weekend Lauren Booth will join them for a fundraising event. Her fellow speaker will be former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad. He is a notorious antisemite. For example:

They survived 2000 years of pogroms not by hitting back, but by thinking. They invented and successfully promoted Socialism, Communism, human rights and democracy so that persecuting them would appear to be wrong, so they may enjoy equal rights with others. With these they have now gained control of the most powerful countries and they, this tiny community, have become a world power.

“I am supportive of anyone who wants to do something good for the people in Palestine,” said Dr Mahathir, adding that the initiative was also similar to that of the Perdana Global Peace Organisation (PGPO). PGPO was founded by Dr Mahathir to embark on a serious, active and sustained struggle against war and for peace.
Asked how he viewed the eventual resolution of the long-drawn Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Dr Mahathir said it would be extremely difficult if the United States only supported Israel.
He said although the Jews numbered only about 10 million in the United States, the Jewish lobby was very influential in the government, political and media circles.
Viva Palestina Malaysia currently has an article titled “Solution to Unending Mideast Crises May Lie in First Jewish Homeland” prominently posted on its homepage.
It pushes the “Birobidjan solution”, a “Jews to Siberia” idea of Stalin. These days it is enthusiastically promoted by “Lady” Michele Renouf, a disgusting antisemite and promoter of Holocaust deniers. She is admiringly cited in the article.
Lady Renouf has assessed what could be accomplished by a rejuvenated Jewish state in Birobidjan: “By resettling Jews in the original pre-Israel homeland, Palestine could be restored to its rightful owners, the victims of the 20th century’s longest, most notorious and enduring injustice.”

Viva Palestina doesn’t just provide political and material support to Hamas. It also works closely with some of the most vile racists on the planet.
