‘The Green Arrow and Friends’ is one of the more popular BNP supporting blogs and includes regular contributions by Nick Griffin cultist Paul ‘Green Arrow’ Morris, Sarah ‘Maid of Albion’ Davies, and John Roderick Voisey AKA ‘John of Gwent’. Unsurprisingly, given the blog is run by and frequented by BNP fanatics, the prevailing atmosphere is one of bigotry, ignorance, paranoia, and all round lunacy – in other words not dissimilar to Islamist websites.
In a recent contribution, poor Voisey has got all hot and bothered upon hearing that Peter Vaughan, South Wales’ new Chief Constable, opposes homophobic hate crimes and spoke at a Stonewall conference. Voisey claims that Vaughan and Chris Woolley of the Crown Prosecution Service
positively salivated over the way that they have turned a society in which those whose behavior [sic] deviates from the norms of the majority in that that society must justify their deviancy from that norm to one where those who follow the normal pattern of behaviour of that majority must justify their distaste for the deviant upon pain of prosecution.
In the crazed mind of Voisey, the following Stonewall poster contains a ‘message of hatred for the straight guy’:
Yes, that’s right, telling people to grow up and accept that some people are different to them is now an act of ‘hatred’. In this case, the posters were part of a Stonewall campaign to stop homophobic bullying in schools. Voisey, it seems, thinks children being bullied for their sexuality is just fine, and that anyone who opposes this is filled with ‘hatred’ towards straight males.
According to Voisey, gay people should have to ‘justify their deviancy’ and he thinks that ‘the truth of the matter is that by their very own words because *SOME* people are Gay, *MOST* people are NOT and it is perhaps THEY who should be told in no uncertain terms to GET OVER THAT’.
Perhaps Voisey is unrepresentative of the average BNP supporter in holding this view? This is far from the case if the comments beneath the article are anything to go by:

This public mobile and static gay messaging by Stonewall – subsidised by their charitable status – is an assault on common decency and a rape of young and impressionable minds. Stonewall have crossed a line with this stunt and are it would seem hell bent on stoking up an adverse reaction and rubbing straight noses in their filthy and perverted sexual habits. All part of the Marxist subversion and perversion agenda of course. In any sane society, they and the owners of the buses and billboards would be locked up. I can’t imagine why sheep people with kids would vote for the liblabcontrick who condone this sort of thing.
The interesting thing about all this is that it shows not only how twisted the average committed BNP supporter actually is, but also that a society run by these people would be all too similar to the kind of society envisaged by Islamist hate preachers. Voting for a party that welcomes people who write comments like the above is, in effect, voting for the same warped worldview that is held by Islamist extremists, although with the BNP you get the added ‘bonus’ of barely hidden neo-Nazi racism (and not just towards Jews) on top.
Would Nick Griffin condone such views? Publicly, probably not. You see these days he’ll only say (as he did on Question Time) that he finds gay men ‘really creepy’. Back in 1999, when neo-Nazi terrorist (and former BNP member) David Copeland bombed a gay pub in London, Griffin was less worried about PR. Here’s how he reacted:
