Wednesday’s Washington Post has obituaries for Elizabeth “Beth” Rickey, a Louisiana Republican who devoted much of her life to derailing the once-promising political career of white supremacist and antisemite David Duke; and textile worker Crystal Lee Sutton, a union activist in North Carolina whose life was the model for the movie “Norma Rae.”
Update: There are good Republicans like Ms. Rickey who are willing to fight bigotry. And then there’s Limbaugh, whose latest outburst even conservative Rod Dreher is calling “wicked” and “evil.”
