This week in Harry’s Place Arts

Friday brings another new Junkbox Juryafter last week’s semi final. Up this week are offerings from Dublin, Amsterdam and Tel Aviv, and California via Uzbekistan. Undiscovered genius, good riddance to bad rubbish? You be the jury…

Highlights this past week:Late last Friday came Joe Mugg’s article on “the interesting music that is made nowadays exists in a zone which doesn’t have its roots in the ‘classical world’ but nonetheless uses orchestral instrumentation.” Joe also wrote about Fanzine culture in Liverpool and the great Motown Poll.

David T offered up a glimpse of musical ‘perfection’, while Brett opened the discussion on the new format poised ultimately to replace CD – slotMusic.
