The Gulf Daily News reports that George Galloway is “in the Gulf to drum up funding and support for his latest venture, a movie in the style of US film-maker Michael Moore about the Palestinian issue.”
After a stop in Bahrain, he flew off to meet with money men in the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Will Galloway use this unique opportunity to investigate the UAE’s arrest of hundreds of striking South Asian workers for carrying out “subversive acts” at a work camp in the emirate of Sharjah?
Will he question his would-be benefactors about the source of their money to determine if any of it was earned from the shameless exploitation of these workers?
Will Galloway’s comrades in Respect Renewal raise these questions with him?
Yes, I know the answers. But it’s amusing to ask anyway.
