What most interests me in this clip from Iranian TV is not Ahmadinejad’s anti-Israel rhetoric taken to the nth degree. It’s the distinct lack of enthusiasm in the crowd– half of whom seem to be standing there dutifully but quietly, and half of whom seem to be wandering about in utter indifference to the speech.
Perhaps those more familiar with Iran can tell me if this is significant.
