Iraq

Iraq then and now

Here’s the best piece I’ve read about the Iraq tragedy in many months– perhaps years. It’s written by journalist Tish Durkin, who reported from Iraq in 2003 and 2004.

It’s aimed–critically– at the largely antiwar readership of the Huffington Post, but it doesn’t let war supporters off the hook either. And it’s heartbreaking.

If you feel moved to comment, please deal with what Durkin actually writes, and don’t regurgitate the tired arguments we’ve had here for years.
