Polly Toynbee is writing about poorly-behaved teenagers today:
The number of badly behaved teens in Asbo-type trouble, drinking, taking drugs and having too-early sex mirrors the proportion born poor in their generation.
Is what she’s implying really right?
Do all low income families breed monster children? Do delinquents not trouble the well feathered nests of the middle or upper classes?
Does being born into a working class family mean all you can look forward to in life is being written off as a troublemaker by liberal commentators?
It’s predestination gone mad.
