The Observer has asked the literary great and the good for their nominations for the best book since 1980.
Well, published between 1980 and 2005 actually, and not including the Americans who’ve got their own list.
It’s not a bad round up of the better works of fiction written over the last quarter century but I’m sure they’ve included some stinkers and missed other great works off…
