The Independent newspaper has drawn up a list of fifty individuals it believes are worthy of our admiration.
Peter Tatchell is on it but I wonder what he thinks about sharing a perch with Islamist Tariq Ramadan:
“Homosexuality is not allowed in Islam and its public legislation…it can not be admitted in Islam”
It would also be interesting to know if the latter’s views on a man’s right to hit his wife for being disobedient might cause the ten or so women on the list to question his status too.
