Why would you insist on marching down a particular road when it is known the vast majority of the residents living there would very much rather you didn’t and would ensure that if you did, you’d be made to feel most unwelcome?
Why would you force yourself to stand out on the street watching a parade – not to enjoy the spectacle – but with the sole intention of becoming thoroughly annoyed, thus ensuring you had something to complain about later in the day?
I thought the British were supposed to lead the world when it came to good manners, and I’ve always considered the Irish amongst the world’s most hospitable people. National stereotypes, eh?
