Marseille is hardly a paradise for racial minorities, but it didn’t “burn” like other French cities in recent weeks.
This Washington Post article suggests the reason isn’t– as some might suspect– that the jihadis were less active there, but rather that it’s simply a more integrated and tolerant city than most others in France.
