Cowards flinch and traitors sneer…

Paul Richards is blogging from Bournemouth and tells us:

The Red Flag is making a comeback at conference. Last night Billy Bragg led a chorus of the song at the Fabian Society’s reception, and I hear that the main conference will be allowed to sing it on the last day.

Allowed to sing eh? My, my the winds of change. But since when was the Red Flag actually banned? I know it dropped off the official agenda but was there a conference song police that carried out any lefties who tried to have a sing-song?

More to the point, does Tony know the words?

It’s good news though – I had wondered if we wouldn’t end up with Onward Christian Soilders…
