Here is an idea from America that would be well worth introducing in the UK and Europe – a website where you can register to opt out of telemarketing.
And it is not just some hopeful, voluntary, maybe, good practice, self-regulating thing either – it actually has balls and is backed by government bodies.
The Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the states will begin enforcing the National Do Not Call Registry on Oct. 1, 2003.
Anyone heard of plans to introduce this or anything similar in the UK or EU?
