Blogland

In the spotlight

The Times has a very dull article on weblogging today in which the new blogger software fails to work.

Still nice to see Reactionary Pete getting another plug and it is clear that Times journalist Michael Gove, who picks his favourite weblogs, is among those journalists who do read blogs and not just American ones.

Obviously The Times opt to highlight the right-wing political blogs as you would expect which reminds me, isn’t it about time the Guardian updated their review of blogs?

If reading about the dominance of right-wing blogs is too depressing then pay a visit to the newest lefty UK blog – Will Parbury’s Farringdon Street, which has the added bonus of being from the North West – another supporter of regional assemblies is welcomed on board!

Will is Youth Officer of the Labour Party in Manchester and says: Far too many blogs are written by those on the right. As Renton says in Trainspotting “It’s a shite state of affairs and all the fresh air in the world will not make any fucking difference.” But more people from the left writing blogs will so I thought that I would have a go.

Fair enough.
