Despite the best efforts of some on the pro-Israel right, it seems Barack Obama is popular enough there to get a schwarma joint named after him on Rehov Allenby in Tel Aviv.
The sign says: “Welcome to Mifgash (meet-up place) Obama.”
If any of our Israeli readers spot a Mifgash McCain, a Mifgash Biden or even a (shudder) Mifgash Palin, let me know and I’ll provide equal space.
