Karl Pfeifer, a regular contributor to Harry’s Place, is the subject of an excellent piece at the Jewish website Tablet.
Living in Austria and working as a journalist, Karl was deported a number of times from Communist Hungary in the 1980s for interviewing dissidents in the country. Now, at the age of 83, he is taking on the rightwing nationalist government of Viktor Orbán and his Fidesz party.
