… should you not die in jail?
That is the vexing question today.
The Lockerbie bomber is to be sent home this afternoon on “compassionate grounds because he is suffering from terminal cancer.
It seems to me that if you blow up 259 people in mid-air and their plane comes crashing down killing more on the ground in an instant, you ought to lose your right to spend your final months at home being comforted by your family. What compassion did you extend to your victims? What comfort did they have in their final moments? What goodbyes were they allowed?
If you do such a terrible thing, and you are caught and convicted, your minimum expectation should be that you will die in prison?
