The UNRWA has suspended delivering aid to Gaza, according to the BBC. In a statement the agency protested the ongoing theft of its supplies by armed Hamas gunmen and said it would not continue delivering relief supplies to Gaza “until the aid is returned and the agency is given credible assurances from the Hamas government in Gaza that there will be no repeat of these thefts”.
Over 200 tons of relief aid has apparently been taken, say AFP.
Yesterday, Hamas complained that UNRWA aid was reaching Palestinians who were not Hamas supporters.
