You may remember that the fugitive Hamas commander, Mohammed Sawalha, attempted to sue us a few months back. He hired one of the dodgiest law firms around to do the deed: Dean and Dean.
Well, Dean and Dean has had its own problems:
The Solicitors Regulation Authority closed Dean and Dean after suspending founder and leading lawyer Shahrokh Mireskandari over claims he mishandled clients’ money and breached official rules governing legal conduct.
The Iranian-born solicitor – who represented former Met Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur, Met Commander Ali Dizaei and the National Black Police Association in race cases brought against the Met – could be struck off if the professional misconduct allegations are proved at a hearing due later this year.
It has already been revealed that Mr Mireskandari is a convicted conman, who was given three years probation by a US court over a telemarketing scam, and that his law degree was gained from a “mail drop” university.
Bye bye Dean and Dean.
We’re like the Islamic Republic of Iran, we are.
